DESIGN

11. What are the requirements for this assignment? The assignment requirements are to answer the question how to make sure that a 6th grader know what design cycle mean.
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment? The limitations that i have to do is to make sure that the project is really good.
13. How will you "test" your project? i am going to make a survey and then pass them to the 6th graders.
STUDENT SAMPLE!! DO NOT COPY THIS IS AN EXAMPLE!! Design Brief i will make a plan first.
10. Write a short statement of what you are going to make, why you are going to make it, and for whom you are making it.  For my project I am going to create a Storybook/ Comic Strip that describes the Design Cycle in a very simple way.  I am going to make it so that a 6th grader can comprehend the Design Cycle without getting confused.
Formulate a Design Specification
for my project i am going to create a scavenger hunt that describes the plan in a easy way. I chose it so that the 6th graders now what design cycle and answer questions.
11. What are the requirements for thisassignment?
my project should be easy because its going to be under 2 minutes.
12. What are the limitations you have with this assignment?  The limitations of this project is the time because 2 minutes is not long enough to be able to thoroughly explain the design cycle.the teachers is only giving us 2 minutes to present because we are to much kids and we are going to explain it very fast.
13. How will you "test" your project?  I will test my project by giving out surveys/ tests to the 6th graders and review.
i will test this project by putting some questions in a paper and making sure to know what the 6th graders think what design is.

reflection wk6

i am working in my project and making shure that everything its okay. I think that my grade will be between a 80 and a 85 because i am not perfect and i think its okay. Well the question that we are making shure that a 6th graders nows what the design cycle really is. I will also make sure that eveything i write in the scavenger hunt and make it really fun i hope you enjoy it. I will do my best so that my grade will be good.

INVESTIGATE:

The rubric is going to be about what we are going to have in our project and it will help us in some things to become perfect. i wouldn't give myself a good grade because its been dishonest and it wouldn't help me. i might get a lower score because i am not good in asking questions and answering them in complete sentences. i hope i would at least get a good grade because it took me allot of time but everything is for the 6th graders.
I am really scared what the 6 graders will say about the project maybe they don"t like it or think its supper boring i really don"t know what to say. in my background i gave my self a grade and put th0at maybe i did it so good but as you know we don"t know what grade we are getting after you guys go over it.To do this it took me like 2 weeks to think about  what to write and what kind of questions should i write.Myra who is my best friend also is doing the same thing and she told me that not to worry because she knows that i am going to do great. The rubric means so much to me and with the things that includes like background, character, text, measurements it means much more.  I think i will do awesome in some things but i am not really sure. I am trying to finish my project before the date due so that i will make sure everything is okay and perfect. This will be the best project that i will make because this is what i tried my best.
In my background i did try my best because i was making sure that it did work. and the background will make be very good i did allot of stuff but i dont know if its very good. i will try my best in everything. i dont know what else to put in my background because i never have done this for a 6th graders i know that i will do fine but i dont think that the teacher wil be proud of me but i will do it anyway.
well this is for my background.my character i will do a good job because i know that i tried my  best  and did a good effort. what else can i put in it so that it will be better and better what else can i do.
in everything in my rubric am really scared but i know i am going to do very good. This is so hard to do because i am ben graded in allot of things.

INVESTIGATE:

background (two paragraphs)

The graph shows that in my background i gave myself a tree because i thought that its not   that good and because its to simple and maybe the 6 graders might don"t like it . my background is a three because as you know we have to be honest . in my background i will make some questions  and some answer this is a cool game for six graders.
I will help them in what i think its hard i was thinking that maybe 6 graders wont fin it fun but at the end they will find it very helpful when they find out what design cycle then they would want to practice and practice to be perfect.I put a 3 on text because it did take me some time to write down the questions   and then thinking if they are easy and good enough for the six graders to understand it  and i also was thinking for easy questions but i think i put them to easy.  I also have to make sure that they are good enough this is the highest grade i give myself  because it looks like its the easiest  than the other one. I will also make some hard questions but not that hard because i  might not even though the answer. The text was a little bit hard i had some problems but i asked Mayra and she helped me. We both are doing the same because its the easiest thing to do.
In character i put 3 in character because i actually didn't put allot of character like animation and all of that. I wouldn't give myself a higher grade but i will then put more animation and some good audio and its going to look really good. What can i  put in my character so that it would look cool? that's the question i am asking myself always so that the 6th graders won't get bored with what they are playing. Character means o me like to put little animation and audio so that kids would like it and they will learn allot.
In simplicity is very easy because its just some questions  and some basic answers i didn't know if to put the answers very easy or very hard. some of the 6th graders may be very smart and answer them like very quick. I tried to make them very easy and simple  i will give me a 2 because like i said its very easy so i think i really deserve it well i hope that the 6 th graders really like it because it took me allot of work.

INVESTIGATE:

HOW DO I MAKE SOUND CHOICES? HOW CAN MY LEARNING HELP MY COMMUNITY?

Copy & paste into your blog and add to each stage as you progress through your project
Area of Interaction: Community and Service , Approaches to Learning & Human Ingenuity
Significant Concept: Design Cycle can be used to solve problems
Unit Question: How can my learning help my community? How do I make Sound Choices?
INVESTIGATE: (Write in complete sentences) Identify the Problem
1. What is the problem you need to solve? Explain to a 6th grader what the design cycle is all about by creating a presentation. (3d, PPT, movie, game, Poster)
2. How does the Design Cycle apply to the real world?
3. How will this project serve my community?
4. How can my learning help my community?
5. How do we live in relation to each other?
6. How does this help others?
7. What are the requirements for this assignment?
8. What is the Design Cycle?
REFLECT on your learning.

REFLECT ON YOUR LEARNING
PLAN:
14. Brainstorm ideas. Use the chart below
IB Brainstorming Chart .pdf found in schoology under “materials”& then files
15. What idea did you choose to demonstrate the design cycle and why did you choose it?
16. Does your idea meet all of the requirements?
17. Use the story board paper below to plan your presentation.  Include how many levels you will have, what will be on each level, how will you include teaching skills to young students, and what will your questions be about.
story board.pdf found in schoology under “materials” & then files.
18. Explain how you will use your time to get your project finished in 12 days:
REFLECT on your learning
EVALUATE:
20. How could you improve your presentation?
21. Does your presentation meet all of the requirements?
22. Share your presentation with at least 2-8th, 3-9th, 4-10th+ friends. What did he/she like about your presentation?
23. Reflect on all the steps of the Design Cycle. What did you do well? What do you need to improve?
24. Were you responsible in using the software, Internet, pictures, and computer?
25. How can my learning help my community?
26. What grade do you deserve on this project? (1 - 6)

ATTITUDE:
27. Reflect on your attitude on each step of the Design Cycle. Did you completely answer each step without complaining, being a whiny baby, or saying "it's too hard". Explain your answer:
28. What grade do you deserve on your attitude? (1 - 6)
